from pants to dresses

I have added a new branch of savemypants.com, I've started to make dresses out of old over-sized T-shirts. So far it has gone very well. Here are a few of the styles I have been working on, hopefully I will add some more soon.

This is a cool little strapless dress that ties at the side for adjustment.

This is a dress with the neck collar as the straps, added material at bottom for length.

This top can be worn as a halter top or a strapless tube top

This is a skirt with three adjustable ties on the side.

Welcome to SAVE MY PANTS

Hello and welcome to the SAVE MY PANTS blog page. SAVE MY PANTS is a pretty self explanatory idea, through the wear and tear of life things wear out. As I've gone through 23 years of my life I notice the thing that wears out more than underwear are pants. It was always a sad sad day when I finally couldn't wear my favorite pair of pants anymore. Whether it be because my foot kept getting caught in the huge hole on the knee, or it was a little drafty after the rip under the back pocket grew from a little hole to a free show. I could never just let the pants go, so I decided to do whatever I could to keep those favorite pants. Through strategic sewing and refusal to get those denim iron on patches, I found a way to SAVE MY PANTS. Not only do I save my own pants, but I started saving other peoples pants too. So if you find yourself sullen over a pair of pants about to kick the bucket, send them my way and I will be sure patch them up.
